SPECIFIC GAME RULES
Counter-Strike 2 Tournament Rules
1. Server / Match Setup
- Matches are to be played on private matchmaking.
- Alternatively, if both teams are in agreement, the teams may use a third-party or private server.
2. Map Veto Procedure (Best-of-3)
- The higher-seeded team decides whether to act as Team A or Team B
- Team A bans one map
- Team B bans one map
- Team A selects Map 1
- Team B chooses the starting side on Map 1
- Team B selects Map 2
- Team A chooses the starting side on Map 2
- Team B bans one map
- Team A bans one map
- The remaining map becomes Map 3
- Team B selects the starting side for Map 3
3. Match Win Conditions & Evidence
- All matches are best out of 3, unless the tounament/cup specifically mentions otherwise.
- Matches are played in MR12 format.
- The team that wins the required number of maps wins the series.
- After completion, a player from each team must submit the scores and screenshots of the maps played to: xxx
- Screenshots must be submitted the same day a match is played.
- A failure to submit the necessary screenshots may result in a forfeit.
- If there is a dispute regarding the match results, a tournament admin will make a determination on the result.
4. Map Pool & Game Version
- The tournament uses the official Active Duty pool (Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass).
- All matches will be played on the latest version of CS2, unless the teams have agreed otherwise.
5. Match Schedule, Communication, Time
• Teams must complete all games by the set deadline.
• Discord is the mandatory channel for all scheduling talks.
• If no time is agreed upon, the default slot will be enforced.
• Genuine negotiation is required to prevent a match forfeit.
• Absence or poor communication leads to automatic disqualification.
• Players can take a five-minute rest between individual maps.
6. Rule Changes
• Smoke & Fire reserves the right to make changes to the rules before or during the tournament to ensure fair play.
• All Admin Discretion will be exercised reasonably and in good faith.
7. Misconduct
• Cheating in any form will result in a permanent ban for the individual cheating and punishment for the team.
• Racism will result in a permanent ban.
• Toxic behavior will be dealt with by admins in their discretion.
8. Prize Distribution
• Prize payouts will be made within 30 days of confirmed details. Payouts can be via bank account or PayPal. Unclaimed prizes after 3 months are forfeited.
• If a tournament is cancelled after teams have already paid an entry fee, the entry fee will be refunded within 1 week of the tournament being cancelled.
9. Broadcasting
- Smoke & Fire reserves the right to use any material cast or streamed by players.
10. Spectating
- Spectating is allowed.
- Disputes regarding spectating can be referred to an admin who will make a determination on the dispute.
11. Loadshedding
- Standard Cups always proceed regardless of loadshedding stages, unless directed otherwise by an admin.
12. Steam ID & Player Names
• Playing on a different account results in forfeit. Profanity in Steam names or profile pictures is forbidden.
• Account sharing results in forfeiture, suspension, or permanent ban.
13. Disputes regarding Rules
• Smoke & Fire has final binding authority on rule interpretation. Only affected parties may create disputes.
• All disputes must be submitted on the Smoke & Fire Discord.
14. Team/Player Reporting
• Reports must be submitted via the official Smoke & Fire Discord. They must include dates, parties, and evidence. Any cheating or fixing results in a permanent ban.
